After the meeting there is an awesome event “State of Emergency: Censorship by the Bullet” The event is billed as “And evening of solidarity with Mexican Jounalists.” There are some huge names going to be there so check it out! Only catch is it’s not free. $10 for students but you’ve got to bring your ID.

“Latin film makers celebrated by Americas Society and Cinema Tropical with the launch of, Cinema Tropical’s Presents the Ten Best Latin American Films of the Decade, published by Jorge Pinto Books. The event will consist of guest speakers and a discussion about the state of Latin film making.
