I know we’re all busy this week. In fact if you’ve got social time come talk to me – I need to learn your secret! So, we’re giving you until Friday to focus on your studies, but don’tforget, FRIDAY IS IMPORTANT! We’ve got two great events and we want to see everyone at both!
Student Life: CU-NAHJ – Covering Latin America as a Beat
The J-School chapter of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists sponsors this conversation on covering Latin America with JUAN FORERO, ’88, of the Washington Post Foreign Service. Forero, based in Bogota, Colombia, is responsible for covering Colombia and Venezuela for the Post; before joining that paper in September 2006, he was Bogota bureau chief for the New York Times, covering the Andean region for six years. A native of Bogota, he has also been a staff writer at the Star-Ledger of Newark, N.J., Newsday, the San Diego Union-Tribune and other papers. In addition to the Andes, he has also roamed Mexico, Cuba and the Caribbean in search of stories. Open to students, faculty & staff.
