There’s never been a better time to work in audio. Podcasting is exploding and more than 37 million people are listening to public radio each week. This year’s Audio Renaissance Panel, co-presented by the Office of Career Development and CJS Audio, features Kat Chow (NPR’s Code Switch), Theo Balcomb (NYT’s The Daily) and Kai Wright (WNYC’s There Goes the Neighborhood) and will be moderated by Daniel Alarcón, faculty and executive producer of Radio Ambulante). The panelists will talk about their careers, what makes great audio storytelling, and the state of the industry today.
This program is part of The Thought Leaders Series. TLS brings to the Journalism School journalists and media leaders who will address current issues and concerns. The series, which takes place most Tuesdays in the fall semester, is designed to complement what students are learning in their classes and provide them the opportunity to meet.
All Lectures are at 6PM in Jamail Lecture Hall in Pulitzer Hall. All M.S. students are expected to attend. #CJSLeaders
